Last Thursday evening 28 riders turned up for the first track training evening. They started off with a warm up for 30 laps in two groups, behind 2 derny bikes, going at different speeds to cater for the varied group of riders. This was followed by Dick Poole timing all riders over 220 metres. The session ended with riders in two groups again behind the dernys.
This year we have lost one of our long term sponsors, when the Evening Post said they had reviewed there sports sponsorship and had decided not to sponsor Reading Velodrome Racing this year. We would like to thank them for there sponsorship in the past. We are currently looking for another media sponsor.
The next DHL Sprint School is at Newport on April 13th and Shane Benson and Andy Pitt will be taking another six riders for the experience.
