Despite the heavy rain, thunder and lighting late afternoon the rain had stopped at Reading and the track was only slightly damp at 8.15pm. Nine riders turned up for the session which started with a 20 lap warm up behind the one derny motor. This was followed by a timed 1 lap sprint. Then came a follow the leader event and then some keirin practice before a warm down behind the derny.
It can often be raining elsewhere and not at Palmer Park so it is always worth phoning Palmer Park Stadium on 01189015080 to check the weather there.
