One of the country?s oldest association of cycling clubs, the West London C.A. (this year it is 98 years since its formation), will revive one of its long established titles, the 500 metres Track Championship for the W.Hinds trophy. The last title holder P Dickason , Clarence Wheelers, took the trophy in 1986 at the now non existent Paddington Track.
This year, the event will be staged at the Reading Velodrome Racing?s last League meeting of the season at Palmer Park Stadium on Monday, September 12th. Open to members of the 28 Clubs affiliated to the Association which range between Banbury, Newbury, Chippenham, Guildford, Epsom and Basingstoke. Prizes of 1st £25, 2nd £15 and 3rd £10 are on offer.
