Open Meeting Sunday 6th May 2012 - Closing Date 28th April 2012

This meeting will feature a Ladies / U16 25k Two Stage Bordeaux-Paris style event with cash prizes of £95 provided by Reading Track Cycling League.

Also featuring a Junior / Senior / Vet 50k Two Stage Bordeaux-Paris style event for the Bill Bannister Memorial Trophy with cash prizes of £250 donated by Sean Bannister and his sister Jane.

30k Derny event is a counting round of the British Cycling National Endurance Series.

Entry fee for Youths is £5.00 and for Senior/Junior/Ladies is £15.00. Please make cheque payable to Reading Track Cycling League.

Special Events 
25kms Two stage Bordeaux–Paris Style event for Ladies / U16s
  Stage 1 40 riders start scratch race 10kms. After 18 laps riders sprint. First 8 Qualify for Stage 2, remainder do 4 more laps. Prize money £5, £3 & £2.
  Stage 2 is a 15kms Derny motor paced race for the 8 qualifiers. Prize money £25, £20, £15, £10, £8 & £7.
50kms Two Stage Bordeaux-Paris style event for Junior / Senior / Vet riders
  Stage 1 40 riders start 20 kms scratch race.
First 8 to cross the line after 40 laps for intermediate sprint qualify for Stage 2 and will withdraw while the remainder will sprint after another 4 laps at the completion of 20 kms. Prize money £10, £9, £8, £7, £6 & £5.
  Stage 2 is a 30kms Derny motor paced race for the 8 qualifiers. Prize money £50, £40, £30, £25, £20, £15, £13 & £12.

Registration will open at 12 noon and close at 12.45 pm in order to prepare heats.

Riders who fancy their chances of qualifying for Stage 2 of the Bordeaux - Paris are advised to equip their bike with a 50 tooth chain ring this will allow a choice of gears 84.4, 90.0, 96.4, 103.9, so a sprocket or wheel change only is necessary to change from scratch to paced stages.
