Due to it being a half term Friday ( the only Friday night the hall is available) quite a few riders could not make it to the presentation of plaques and trophies. These were presented by Mike Mullet who was involved with promoting track league events, judge and commentator for many years.

The Youth awards started the evening with Anthony Anderson (Kingston Wheelers) collecting all 3 of the trophies ,the Boys Cup for the U16 boys points competition. He also collected the Youth Pursuit Championship Cup and the Youth Sprint Championship Cup.

Off the ‘A’ riders Matt Gittings (awcycles.co.uk) who started the season late and finished early due to his studying in the USA, again retains his No 1 number with 1st in the ‘A’ League Championship.

1st in the ‘A’ 20k Endurance Championship was veteran Nick Abraham (BC Private Member) who has been riding the track league for many years and shows that experience counts.

Off the ‘B’ riders Junior Josh Mitchell (Bicester Millenium) was the most successful and  1st in the ‘B’ League Championship.

Riding in his first track season,1st in the 2013 ‘B’ 20k Endurance Championship was Mark Shepherd (Banjo Cycles)

1st in  the ‘B’ 20k Endurance Championship was Mark Shepherd (Banjo Cycles) another  rider in his first track season.

Lydia Brookes (GS Henley) who was in her first season of racing, was presented with the Merit Shield  for the most improved rider as decided by the committee .

Next year it is proposed to hold the presentation a bit later in November on a Saturday afternoon.
