Due to refurbishment of the Palmer Park Stadium athletic track we are going to have to take a break in the 2009 Track League.
The refurbishment starts on Tuesday 28th July for 6 weeks, but could take longer if bad weather.
Due to contractors agreeing to start on the Tuesday we can now hold meeting 14 on Monday 27th July.
Assuming work is completed on time we have provisionally booked the cycle track for 4 more meetings from 14th September to 5th October, meetings 16 to 20 on our programme.
The Regional 20k Championship would move to meeting 11 on 6th July.
Prize presentation would take place on Friday 23rd October.
News of the track closure was only confirmed today. The athletic track refurbishment was due to happen last year but was postponed.
Lets hope the work is finished on time and the weather stays good until October.
