Women’s Omnium Round
The participation of Category A Youth Girls is already envisaged in the Series Regulations and I am happy to grant dispensation to any such entrant on evidence of adequate ability to compete at this level. I would suggest a top 6 placing in any individual round of the 2014 National Youth Omnium Series, or equivalent result in another 2014 Open track meeting, as an appropriate minimum standard
Dernyfest Competition
As regards the acceptance of Youth A riders in the Dernyfest competition, there are clearly a number of Youth A Boys with the strength and speed to handle this competition providing that they have adequate prior experience of riding or training behind Dernys (as all of those riding at your track league, and at the other tracks equipped with a number of Dernys, have). I suggest the following conditions:
- confirmation from a registered Track Coach that the entrant has experience of riding behind Dernys; and
- a top 3 placing in any individual round of the 2014 National Youth Omnium Series, or equivalent result in another 2014 Open track meeting
