The youth A/ Women Bordeaux-Paris style stage 2, over 15k  (where 9 riders qualified from stage 1)  only had 2 women among the qualifiers,

Alexi Edwards, Palmer Park Velo RT, with pacer Tim Read, led for most of the laps . Janet Birkmyre, TORQ Performance, with pacer Graham Bristow ,(last year winner) stayed toward the rear until half distance. As they started to move forward the derny in front punctured slowing them down and then Graham’s derny had a mechanical so a quick change to a spare derny saw them rejoin and they eventually finished second. Third was Daniel Maclean-Howell ,Cardiff JIF, paced by Doug Pinkerton.

 

 

In the Senior/junior Bordeaux-Paris style stage 2 over 30k , the 9 qualifiers included the winner from the last 2 years Alistair Rutherford hoping for a hatrick.

 

Michael Mottrom HR Owen Maserati RT, with pacer Tony Hibbert ,led almost from the beginning with Alistair Rutherford The Nab Racing, with pacer Pip Taylor, soon in second position. They  several times got close to Michael but had to settle for second place. Third a short distance behind was Dylan Thomas, VC Meudon, paced by Francis Gallacher,

 

The Bill Bannister Trophy was presented to Michael Mottram by Seán Bannister.
