For many years Reading Track league has been run by a core of dedicated volunteers – a huge thank you, you know who you are.

The time has come for some of these volunteers to step down, be it due to age, health or some other reason. In order for track league and/or the Bordeaux-Paris and Dernyfest/Women’s Omnium to continue next year and beyond, WE NEED NEW VOLUNTEERS.

Apart from organiser(s) for the open meetings, we need somebody who can coordinate on track league nights and who can look after signon, exchanging numbers for signatures and licences, collecting numbers at the end of the night and returning licences. We also need first aiders and line judges. Each of the track league jobs could be shared by a number of people.

Perhaps you are somebody who has ridden track league in the past and would be willing to lend a hand, or you are the parent/partner of a rider and could give us a hand.

Reading Track league was started in 1955, it would be sad if 2017 turned out the last season.

If you can help in any way or would like more information, please get in touch – either catch Gisela or Gordon or one of the other officials tomorrow evening or get in touch by email.
