Following the installation of new lighting at the track the Tuesday and Thursday freewheel training sessions will resume this coming Tuesday, 4th October 2016. Due to the lack of floodlighting there are currently NO evening cycling sessions taking place. Thursday fixed wheel sessions will resume in March or April next year, Tuesday and Thursday freewheel sessions will resume once new lighting has been installed – a date has yet to be announced.

As the track is currently closed, there is no floodlighting at Palmer Park Stadium and work to remove the old lighting is still ongoing, we have to cancel next Monday’s track league meeting. Once the track has been re-opened we shall re-assess the situation and hope to run some racing before darkness falls.  

Following last weeks scare, all activities on the track have now been cancelled until Friday.

The Bordeaux Paris track meeting has been re-scheduled for 29th May 2016. All details can be found on BC website or Reading Velodrome website. As some riders will not  be able to make the new date, entries have re-opened on the BC website – the new closing date is 20th May.    

Apparently the trees are the only thing stopping it from toppling over completely. There is a large exclusion zone being set up around the outside of the stadium.  

Palmer Park Stadium have informed us that one of the lighting masts is in danger of falling over. As this makes the track unsafe we are unfortunately unable to run this meeting. We shall let you know if and when we will be able to re-schedule.
