This meeting will feature a Ladies / U16 25k Two Stage Bordeaux-Paris style event with cash prizes of £95 provided by Reading Track Cycling League.

Also featuring a Junior / Senior / Vet 50k Two Stage Bordeaux-Paris style event for the Bill Bannister Memorial Trophy with cash prizes of £250 donated by Sean Bannister and his sister Jane.

30k Derny event is a counting round of the British Cycling National Endurance Series.

We will be using transponder timing for this meeting. We will loan the transponders for a deposit of £20, returnable when the transponder is handed back.

25kms Two stage Bordeaux-Paris Style event for Ladies / U16s

Stage 1 10km scratch race. First 9 in intermediate sprint after 18 laps qualify for Stage 2, remainder do 4 more laps. Prize money £5, £3 & £2.
Stage 2 is a 15kms Derny motor paced race for the 9 qualifiers. Prize money 1st £25, 2nd £20, 3rd £15, 4th £10, 5th £8, 6th £7, 7th £6, 8th £6 & 9th £5.
 

50kms Two Stage Bordeaux-Paris style event for Junior / Senior / Vet riders

 

Stage 1 All riders start 20 kms scratch race.First 9 in intermediate sprint after 40 laps qualify for Stage 2, the remainder will sprint after another 4 laps at the completion of 20 kms. Prize money £10, £9, £8, £7, £6 & £5.
Stage 2 is a 30kms Derny motor paced race for the 9 qualifiers. Prize money 1st £50, 2nd £40, 3rd £25, 4th £20, 5th £16, 6th £15, 7th £14, 8th £13 & 9th £10.

Registration will open at 12 noon and close at 12.45 pm in order to prepare heats.

Riders who fancy their chances of qualifying for Stage 2 of the Bordeaux – Paris are advised to equip their bike with a 50 tooth chain ring this will allow a choice of gears 84.4, 90.0, 96.4, 103.9, so a sprocket or wheel change only is necessary to change from scratch to paced stages.
